"Activities"
Pony rides and petting zoo for the little buckaroos and horseshoe pitchin', relay races, sack races, water balloon toss, basketball, bingo, volleyball, softball, obstacle course, paddleboats, canoeing, fishing and putting competition for different age groups.
"Safety and Security"
Canoeing and Lake--Children under the age of 3 will not be allowed to enter a canoe. Children 12 and under will not be allowed to enter a canoe without an adult over 18 years of age. LIFE JACKETS (provided) are mandatory for everyone who canoes. Absolutely NO SWIMMING is allowed in the lake at any time. A Red-Cross Certified Gordon Ranch Lifeguard will be on duty. First aid is available at the Lodge as well as the lake.
Guests will NOT be allowed to bring firearms, weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials onto the property. NO SMOKING is allowed in any building on the property. Glass containers are not allowed on the property.
Remember....The Gordon Ranch is a natural protected wooded area so if you are allergic to poison ivy, please take precaution! And for your "pet's safety", please leave them at home.
"Chili Cook-Off"
Spice up your work life by teaming up with colleagues to create a lip-smackin' good pot of "Texas Red." Teams can represent offices or departments. Everyone is encouraged to participate! Chili will be cooked on-site at 1:00 p.m. Awards will be announced around 4:00 p.m.
Awards will be given for the "Best Tastin' Chili", "Most Creative Chili", "Best Presented Chili" and the "Worst Chili Ever"...! Your chili recipe, presentation and decorations are up to the individual teams.
